Welcome to
The Cooperage Inn, a turn-of-the-century, historic bed & breakfast
in Sonoma Valley, in the heart of California's Wine Country.
Formerly
an icehouse, brewery and cooperage built of stone in 1911 by Italian
stonemasons, The Cooperage has recently been transformed into two elegantly
appointed, private suites. This Sonoma Bed & Breakfast is just a
half block from Historic Sonoma Plaza, site of the famous Bear Flag
rebellion and home to the Sonoma Mission, the last mission built on
the Mission Trail.
These
extra-ordinary Sonoma Valley accommodations have been lovingly decorated by artists
Ken & Claudia Wagar with hand-picked antiques and fine materials
for a European renaissance flair. Come sink into the parlor sofa with
a good book, soak in your own tub, or let us arrange a massage for you.
The
Inn is also home to the private Sonoma gallery and
studios of owner/artists Ken & Claudia, and is adjacent to the former
home of General Mariano Vallejo and the oldest world class petanque
courts in the country.
